Game ideas - New types of puzzles/challenges

I was just thinking about memorization games in other apps and wondered if we could have some sort of quick tap or drag matching game

Basically on the screen random familiar words and their meanings are put on the screen at random, and the player must either tap or drag (could be decided on) the pair words to each other

I like these challenges a lot especially in competing since you can see who among your friends solves this puzzle challenge the fastest

You would get points based on how long it takes you to finish it
E. g. 100 points under 7 seconds, 75 points under 15, etc.,

I think this small but quick challenge would be very beneficial with rapidly recognizing words, and is also enjoyable and something you can replay over and over

If anyone has other ideas for games, maybe put them here so that developers can consider

Yes, this methodology on Quizlet allowed me to learn vocab sets rapidly, and you compete on that set leaderboard to see how fast you can do the whole board, which makes your mind be able to connect the word with meaning very fast.

Yeah, we’re thinking of new challenge ideas. Can you share a screenshot of what you’re referring to in Quizlet?

I would really enjoy a drag-and-drop puzzle type of challenge for constructing grammar pieces in the arabic word correctly to get to the target meaning as fast as possible.

Fashioning a word from its root is a novel idea, and I think it may be interesting, especially considering some of the words have 3 or 4 layers.

On Quizlet, they keep making more modes, but the newer ones are more “gamey,” which you may not want to include. The one that I used to use a lot is Match, which is basically tapping to match words and their definitions from a board, and you may be able to expand on that or modify it to better suit the different things we learn on Kalaam.

It’s obviously challenging yourself to do better each time and know the meaning instantly, and what makes it better is the competition between different people to push each other further, which is why I believe you should add something similar.

Here is an example:

I love it. Let’s try to fill this topic with as many novel ideas as we can think of.

I’m thinking some people might like an audio challenge where audio is played for an Arabic and they have to choose the correct English word for it

I think this is might be a nice addition because it’s kind of like practice or preparation for when you actually are prayer and the imam is reading out loud

  1. Framing small parts of ayahs from jumbled words or translating them, having to do an entire challenge in gradual progression with same group of words.

  2. Having a challenge specifically to correct your mistakes. So if we have learned some words but in review mark them as don’t know or in speed challenge get them wrong. They can be grouped and given to practise in a matching challenge or any other challenge but just specifically to correct your mistakes

  3. Have a way to review all the familiar words and know your strength like they do in Quranic

And then we are able to choose whether we would like to revise just weak, medium or all words in 60 seconds or without time limit

Just to mention a few

JazakAllah khair

:joy: I was wondering whether to send a picture of Quranic and ask if using its “fill in the blanks in the ayah” would be a good challenge
