(FEATURE REQUEST) Can we add a daily challenge without a time limit?

I love the daily challenge mode but I find myself rushing through it without properly analyzing the words because I’m trying to maximize my points and get as far as I can.

However sometimes I want to pause and just understand a word even if I know which of the multiple choice options is correct.

I’d love it if you can add a mode that’s exactly like this, but without a timer and it can just keep going on forever, even if it doesn’t give you points for the leaderboard, although points would be nice too.

Thanks !

The time limit serves a specific learning purpose:

  • Helps develop quick word recognition skills
  • Trains your brain to make instant connections between Arabic words and their meanings
  • Simulates real-time Quran reading experience

Behavioral gamification:

  • Time constraints can enhance learning effectiveness
  • Unlimited time can actually reduce engagement and learning retention
  • Short, focused sessions lead to better long-term memory formation

Coming Soon!

  1. Multiplayer Daily Challenges
    • Compete with friends
    • Match with random Kalaam users
  2. Reverse Mode Challenges
    • 60s Arabic → English
    • 60s English → Arabic

I fully agree on the benefits of the timed challenge mode and I think that it’s a valuable thing to keep, but sometimes I want to do it for an extended period of time and I want to take my time trying to fully translate the Arabic word without just looking at the options and knowing which one it is. The new features sound really exciting though!

I think thats what the reading section is for. Your familiar words wont have word to word meaning so you have to think and also develop this habit of not always looking at meaning but using your memory to understand

For me I just listen to the ayat of the Quran and decipher meaning by the keywords and translate it that way
