Why is the users’ gender relevant for the use of the app?
Same here
It’s usually for personalization so maybe a small feature difference? I kind of don’t get it
We want to respect gender segregation for upcoming social features.
So all men who don’t answer honestly will socialize with women and vice versa? ![]()
Let’s assume the best of our brothers and sisters who’ve joined this app and this effort to learn the words of the Quran.
Allah will judge us for our actions. For now we just have to put our trust in our brothers and sisters. It’s similar to the “getting so many points” We should just trust and see what happens
Sometimes it’s better to keep things simple. You use Kalaam when you want to learn Quranic Arabic. There are plenty of other places to socialize. Why would you want to hassle with issues of segregation and people’s honesty?
Yes that’s true. I think once we learn how this feature comes into play we can decide what will happen. We don’t really know how this will actually function so I think we should wait to see how it turns out and then we should decide whether it overcomplicates Kalaam or if it has any benefit
It’s not pointless socializing. It’s competition in the forms of challenges and leaderboards and celebrating each others accomplishments etc.
My friends and I actually have a group chat where we have “healthy competition” to push each other in the leaderboard. Competition is good when the intention is there. “ **compete with one another in doing good (Surah al Ma’idah) Engagement will probably go up with features like being able to congratulate others.
We need leaderboard group chats for personal leaderboards such as mosque or school leaderboards so people can talk to each other through it too
This could really help a lot of mosques and schools around so that competition can be held and people can talk
