The more I practice the more I think it would be much more “entertaining/challenging” if you were give 2pts for a correct answer and -2pts for a wrong answer.
At the moment…. A flat 50 points doesn’t incentivise or challenge enough.
The new practice mode is now live on iOS and it will be available on Android in about 2 days! Please update your app from the App Store.
The practice mode now offers a new experience with a wide range of non-repeating verses each time you play.
After extensive testing and iterations, we’ve refined it to closely mirror the real mode, with the following adjustments:
• Difficulty of word: from 1 to 5
• Quick answer bonus: 1 point
• Streak bonus: 1 point for every 5 correct answers in a row
• Wrong answer penalty: -2 points
Baraka Allahu feek @Haroon for the nice suggestion.
Alhamdulillah really pleased and I think this is just another small addition that will bring more people and keep more people on the app. For the record I struggle to gain more than 50 points and probably average about 40/45. I think I am quite quick so perhaps you can be a little more generous with the giving of points!… I know it is the same for everyone… but those who haven’t updated will average 50… is there anyway of ensuring the the app is automatically updated for users?
Usually I get around 130-170 for the first daily challenge
The practice ones are still the same as before and my app hasn’t updated to latest as I haven’t got any notifications to update it. Probably because because I’m still using TestFlight from the start of the app
On this note…. I have reached 275 for the daily challenge. It would be helpful if the two pictures could make reference to whether it is a daily challenge or practice challenge and perhaps:
I) Ability to share … so you can send the score by WhatsApp or other app to friends
2) you have dates as to when it was achieved
3) you have a notification saying congratulations…. This is your best total this month/year/ever
But it would be better if there was a message that said “You finished the daily challenge!” And then it lists thing like your high score, highest score from Kalaam, how much you improved, and a lot of other things to make it interesting
