Assalamuaikum. Came across this word again, the second time around. (And yes, I still have to learn this, it’s not yet in my long term memory)

The head and the arrow is already good, but please, could you make the arrow show a left right shake - (coz the meaning is shaking their head as a no)

This looks like a nod istead of a left right shake.

Anyway, its much better than the salt shaker. Lol!

Wa Alaikum Assalaam Wa Rahmat Allah Wa Barakatuh @nadiyahelias,

This word means to shake or nod the head up and down, not shaking it side to side as in ‘no’.

This verse is about the disbelievers mocking the idea of being brought back to life: when they ask who will restore them after death, and they are told the One who created them the first time, they respond by shaking/nodding their heads up and down, almost so as to say “oh, really” or “uh huh”, and then they ask when will that be…

So think of it as nodding mockingly as if they’re saying “riiighhhhhhhht” … I’m trying my best to relay the meaning, and I hope it worked!

I hope this interaction will cause the meaning of the word to shoot straight into your long term memory and settle their forever in sha Allah!

In sha Allah with the translation change + the word/root meanings, it’ll be clearer.

May Allah bless your journey and make it easy for you in sha Allah!

Assalaamu Alaikum, Raghda

I feel like if there was some sort of colour of object which could emphasize mockery or the skepticism that would help with the image (yellow or red maybe) or objects which could represent it in the background because from my perspective it seems to be a person who had ascended and then fell from his rank with Allah.

Assalaamu Alaikum @Shayaan,

I will get back to you on that in sha Allah.

Assalaamu Alaikum @Shayaan,

I reflected on your feedback and considered a few adjustments. I understand your perspective, and I can see how adding colour or background elements might seem like a great way to emphasize mockery. However, since these images aim to reinforce the meaning of specific words, we need to tread carefully to avoid introducing elements that could muddle the message (which, as you’ve noticed, is already a complex challenge!). The image of the person nodding or shaking their head up and down is specifically designed to convey mockery. Adding colors like yellow or red, or additional background items, might unintentionally shift the interpretation to anger or another emotion entirely. The essence of the meaning lies in that specific movement alone.

On the rank comment—if we were strictly depicting someone losing status or rank, the image might show a person having a medal removed, a crown slipping off, or stepping down from a higher position. Since we’re working with still images, it’s tricky to convey certain meanings visually. When we can’t rely solely on a central image, we must lean into subtle yet distinct gestures and effects, like arrows, lines, or colors, to capture the intended meaning as precisely as possible.

Having said the above, I do see where you’re coming from, and as AI continues to evolve, our options for clarity will only expand in sha Allah. Until then, we’ll check every now and then to see if we can achieve a clearer image.

Thanks again for your insights. Please let me know if this all makes sense and if it addresses your thoughts. I hope it does, in sha Allah.
