Just to add to brother Areeb’s response for your own understanding until these get fixed, see below:
هَمَّ means he purposed, or intended, a thing (determined as in intending to do something).
In the current translation it’s the word ‘sought’.
So the translation would read like this:
“O you who have believed, remember the favor of Allah upon you when a people intended to extend their hands against you, but He restrained their hands from you; and fear Allah. And upon Allah let the believers rely”
Regarding the second ayah:
استحياهُ means he spared him; let him live; or left him alive.
The current translation essentially says the same thing but in a different way: keeping (as in letting live).
As brother Areeb said, these will all be fixed in sha Allah.
