Is this an error in translation?

Salam,

I’m unsure if this is an error but just checking in case. I thought مُّبِينٍ means clear or obvious. It said it means manifest.

You’re right in that it does mean clear or obvious, and it can also mean manifest. Manifest means to show something clearly through signs or actions.

It all depends on the context of the verse; some words are used over others to better capture the meaning.

I don’t have a picture for this one but in the challenge, for Surah Nas for the ayah ‘the one who whispers into the hearts of mankind’ . The options came up as ‘the One who’. I assume it is capitalised for when الذي refers to Allah SWT?

Yes, when it’s capitalized it’s referring to Allah (ﷻ). For Surah An-Nas, the translation for الذي is not capitalized. I’ll bring this to brother Areeb’s attention in sha Allah.
