I loved Kalaam, I have learnt a lot for the past months with this app, may Allah rewards the developer/creator of this app immensely, because for ONCE I can finally understand or at least be able to FEEL of some ayats that I recited.
However, for some reason, I donât really love the new update, it lost the simplicity, the simplicity of learning new words, new challenge, interface.
Maybe its just me, but I feel like, I have not yet ready to lose that to other app.
Testing the beta made me feel the same way, itâs a huge change and makes it a lot more complex, but I think if you start to adjust to it you can start to understand how this new system is also working well, maybe better than the last. Not everyone likes change (I donât like it myself) but we should give it a chance and try to adapt and ask Allah to make things easy. Inshallah it will get better, as Allah says in Surah Sharh,
âInna maal usri yusraâ
Indeed, with hardship will come ease
I think a simplified or âoriginalâ mode should be implemented. Just bring the old way of words in as a vocabulary challenge more then grammatical. That way we can have the new features and still the old way which i also love as it helped grasp general vocabulary. The grammar is amazing too just if we could have options.
I know what you mean But our goal is to build a tool that the entire ummah will use and completely understand the Quran inshaAllah. Social, languages and grammar were all very essential components to make that happen. I do hate âtoo many featuresâ though, so will try to keep it in check inshaAllah.
Once you get used to the new stuff though I promise you wonât be able to live without it.
That remain to be seen. For now, too many glitches and its messing up my study pattern. I had so much improvement with the old one. I agree the role of the grammar is important that was just what I was excited about the update. I was expecting the simple way like referring to context or focusing on simplest grammatical hints.
Glitch is bound to happen with a new update, so let them fix it. When Kalaam first came out as a beta, glitches had to be fix and new additions had to be added to make the app what it is. Give it some time and again, ask Allah for help. The app is free Alhamdulilah, so give it some time to fix everything
Alhamdulillah for other free apps that I have been using so far too, I never meant to be ungrateful. So inshaAllah, I will keep using theirs until I figured out this app new âimprovementâ to improve my Quran lesson. And may Allah keep His blessing towards the developer(s).
