I would want bother Areeb and the team to work on the Malay language version and different languages first .
Ok here is how my thinking goes.
For years, I have manually made vocab cards, and some of them were in cobwebs, and some cards never made it to my memory. Alhamdulillah, with the spaced retention method automatize, when the words keep coming back, so you just relax and trust the system.
It’s like the difference between swimming and being on an engine boat. Well, a paddle boat- you still need to paddle, but there is hope. Alhamdulillah.
And now, struggling with my memorization. Iknow how to memorize a new page, but hiw do you handle all the previous pages.
So, of course, you sit there and be wishing that Brother Areeb could make a space retention apps for scheduling what to revise and when. Or better still, if the verses pop up and give you the revision. Or something the like.
This next, Brother, this first, before the grammar section. If ever we can vote .
Hope this will be available before I die, and I am sixty!
Closest we have is Tarteel but that is mostly self paced and doesn’t come with revision. It allows you to read the Quran without or with looking and it will appear on the phone
There’s a very nice app which utilises spaced repetition known as makeen for Quran memorisation and revision. In starting you may not get used to it but once you use it for few days you will be in love with it insha Allah .
This app makeen and other one nakhtim which shows you an ayah whenever you unlock the app has made me much more consistent in my memorisation and revision alhum do lillah.
awesome! jzkk for sharing. I’ve also had conversations with the Tarteel folks to add spaced repetition. They’ve made me a verbal promise, but nothing yet. Maybe if everyone annoys them by email they’ll prioritize it
Masyaallah, i just installed it and tried it just now. This really work for me. Jazakallahukhairan for your suggestions. Please recommend more helpful apps!
