Maybe have a separate section just for all the words we’ve already learnt, which can flip over. Just all the review words, no new words
You already have a section under profile, called show familiar words, but that doesnt have all the words we’ve learnt and it doesnt flip over. The flipping over is very good. And when we are doing a new lesson, it only contains a few review words, not all of them
We deliberately designed the system so that people cannot easily review beyond their daily lesson. The reason for this is simple. There are a total of 4,776 words in the Quran and while learners may begin with a lot of enthusiasm, without having a formal system that limits review to a daily time, the risk of burnout becomes very high. Remember, this is a marathon, not a sprint. Therefore, we encourage everyone to stick to just their daily lesson. It’s important to note that the words in your lessons won’t just appear once; they will keep reappearing. This repetition will continue day after day until you have fully grasped them. This method is a significant departure from how other apps approach language learning. A standout feature of Kalaam is the spaced repetition system. This feature ensures that the words are shown to you at various intervals until they are firmly embedded in your memory. This constant exposure is key to our learning strategy, ensuring that you won’t just encounter words once, but they will become a part of your active vocabulary through frequent review.

Asalamu’alaikum I am of the “slow to learn, slow to forget type”. I really enjoy the app.
I found that pausing for a day or two help me to catch up a little bit as I felt like I stuff I had learned was not sticking. Also, I did not feel comfortable saying I knew a word with multiple meanings unless I know all of the meanings. This is especially true for the early words which have 2-4 simple meanings. Maybe I am being too strict.
I just feel like the ratio of new words to review is too high. Please advise. Perhaps I should spend a longer time with review cards I do not know??

As-salamu alaykum. I feel like you’re overthinking it. The words that are not sticking, just keep marking them as don’t know and they’re going to keep coming back. Some words are going to be easy, others are going to be more difficult. Just stick with the system and inshallah it will work for you.
