I just want to thank the developers and the Kalaam team for all the amazing work since the update, for being so open to all the feedback, and for implementing the suggestions and fixes so fast!
Yesterday my challenges weren’t working and today , not only did they work, but I really appreciated the toggle to stop skipping unfamiliar words, and I got some new ayahs I’ve never seen before that also included some of my recently learned vocabulary.

alhamdulillah so happy to hear that. We’ve revamped the logic for which ayahs it picks. It now:
Focuses on What You Know: It looks for ayahs containing words you’ve already learned, especially those where you know a good number of the words.
Reinforces Recent Learning: It gives a little extra preference to ayahs that include words you’ve learned more recently. This helps make sure new vocabulary sticks.
Adds Variety: To keep things interesting and expose you to different contexts, it tries its best not to pick multiple ayahs for the same quiz that just repeat the exact same familiar words. It aims to show you a mix of the words you know. (this one isn’t yet rolled out)
Avoids Over-Repetition: It also tries to avoid showing you the exact same ayahs too often across different quizzes.
