Question about the app going from learning grammar to words by itself

As salam alaykum.

I would like to know if after the app thinks you are ready to learn grammar, will it ever go back to helping you just learn words by itself again?

Because I don’t think I have learned new words for a while now, is it because I don’t have any surahs prioritized?

Wa alaykum as-salam! Yes, the grammar lessons are a temporary stretch, not a permanent switch. The app teaches you the most useful things you haven’t learned yet, and right now that’s a set of grammar rules; once you’ve worked through them, it goes back to teaching new words by itself.

Not having surahs prioritized isn’t the reason. That said, if you’d like new words right away, prioritize a surah (long-press it in the Read tab) its words will start appearing in your next lesson. And if you’d like to skip grammar entirely, you can turn it off in settings.

One quick check: make sure “Pause new words” is off, and if your daily lesson is mostly reviews lately, enabling “Force new words” in settings guarantees some new words every day.
