I think there should be option where one could challenge his or herself on a selected Surah.
I feel highly suggest to include challenges lasting more than a minute, because I am left with wanting to do more of the challenge everytime the challenges end.
And I do not like the fact that the same verses get repeated every time i go for a challenge.

I feel this too, especially if I was in the middle of a verse
My idea is that when the challenge timer is up, it waits until you finish the whole verse before ending the challenge, and the timer would go into overtime

Related to challenges, but not to this time matter.
I’ve turned off grammer in challenges, but when someone who does grammer invites me for a head ups, it is with grammer. Can it be turned off there too?
We are adding massive improvements to the ayah selection algorithm for the challenges tonight, insha Allah.
