Assalamu aleykom.

[BIGGEST ISSUES]
Repeating ayah in solo challenges, goes both ways of translating. Always the same 1 or 2 verses.
Answers being the same, this is partly related to the next issue but slightly different. When answering not only can you get 4 answer being word “X” and 4 different (x) explanations. Atleast have some variation of words and not the same exact one.
Bracketed words taking precedence while being the same in meaning, ie when translating you have to pay attention to what the brackets are saying MORE then the actual word/meaning.
If the word connects or not to the coming one (as is the case for many of the brackets explanations) should not be a condition to fail as it’s correct in meaning.
Even if we take the brackets as an explanation of the word many times they dont succed at that and simply provide info not needed like the word being connected to the coming one or the one before. It generally dosent change the meaning and maybe should be kept behind the grammar setting. Only if we want to learn grammar deeper then it can be this way.
extra small fonts when translating from english to arabic. And in general small fonts/text size.
Automatic skipping of words. One of the worst inventions, slows down your pace, dosent teach you the word nor help your memorization of new words. Should be fully removed.
I believe going back to the system of only challenging with ayat that we should know the words to is simpler to learn and understand faster. This way it gets very unorganized where the ayah skips words, slows down the pace and you get disoriented.
Even if it gets repetitive with the same set of ayat we know 100% according to the ai then set the focus on teaching words that will expand the amount of ayat we can learn faster. Or atleast if you include words we dont know do so based on new words that are similar to ones we know. That way the user can still have a decent chance of getting it right. All of this is better then just looking at a animation.
worse point implementation in regards to the new challenges. Very unintuitive and confusing to understand how the system distributes points. Maybe include a (!) information to explain it clearly or simply revamp it since everything is so much slower/sluggish now.
Regarding other languages it would be good to put a warning or something of its like as the words/sentences often arent fully correct or true to the language and translated by what i presume is ai. At least for Swedish.
Separate solo challenges from multiplayer and give us choice of translating only from one language or both.
Im sure you’ve worked and are working hard and bidhbillah you will get rewarded for this heavily and i make dua that Allah enter you to jannah for these deeds. Dont take these issues as complaints or irritation.
May Allah grant us the best of this life and the hereafter.
Wa Alaikum Assalaam wa Rahmat Allah wa Barakatuh @user31
Jazak Allahu khair, and may Allah make this journey easy for you and bless you in this life and in the hereafter.
We appreciate your detailed feedback. Please be aware that we are actively and heavily working on fixes and improvements. The recent update was such a significant one, and with that comes a period that requires fixing up and tweaking.
Your comments have been looked at, and we are working out the best solutions given that there are many different opinions. At the end of the day, we are focusing on what is genuinely the most beneficial/what makes sense long term.
This is what this space is for, so don’t worry at all. We just hope that people can appreciate that everything involves a process. While we absolutely care about feedback, most things take time to get used to and to process as well.
Baraka Allahu feek, and we appreciate your patience!
In the march 15 update, it stated that the issue with the same aya in the challenges should be fixed. But I have the same aya for 3 days (it’s aya 3:27).
Wa aleykum salaam, I think I found the problem. There were a lot of grammerrules unfamiliar, like فَعْلُ الأَمْرِ. I’ve marked some as familiar (in case I did know them of course) and now I get different ayat in the challenges. So no bug, just user error.
Update: maybe it is something else. I have 67 of 91 grammerrules marked as familiar, but now get aya 2:213 and 4:12 over and over.
With 85% of the Quran known, there should be more ayat that are possible to translate?
(I’ve tried to prioritise a surah, maybe these ayat would come in the challenges? But it makes no difference)
Tbh putting aside the bugs the new update is actually a lot better for learning as previously we only knew the words and had to only memorize their meaning and now we can actually connect and understand what each words actually means in each ayat conbined with the grammar rules so we should have some patience as the updates are rolling out really quickly and many things are being fixed
