Search up words

Whenever I try to find one of familiar words I don’t bother with looking at the list as it becomes so long and try to find it in ayat from the Quran that I memorized.

To help make this process easier, can we have a searching tab in the familiar words section

If we had a searching feature to find a certain word it would be great. Like right now I’m trying to find the word “reflect” and instead of using this familiar words list I checked for the verse in Surah Nisa, 82 which had yattadabbaru which means ponder or reflect

I would be thrilled for this small change as it allows me to find the words and their roots and information which I can use in my khutbahs during Fridays at my high school

It’s a little tricky to search because how do you even spell these words properly? So much variation.

Your approach of finding the ayah of the Quran is good. I’d use chatgpt to first find the ayah for a word and then navigate to it in Kalaam

I was thinking an English search where you search what the word means then all possible answers come up

We’re adding a basic implementation of this shortly but there’s a lot of room for error (spelling the synonym of a word etc) which you need AI for. But @Salah has built a simple solution already. Salah attach a video?

It’s a straightforward search function that allows users to search by either English or Arabic. It’s not as sophisticated as the city-changing tab. We could potentially expand this feature to work for all words, including those not in the ‘familiar words’ category, but we’re currently focusing on developing new upcoming social features.
Here’s how it looks: Search functionality demo
