The app seems to have picked up my location which is set to my family home. However I reside in a different place so is there a way I can override the postcode/address/area. I was recently offered to join a local group but the location was picked up automatically and therefore is not correct. How can I update this?

Go to the leaderboards tab, and tap on the city name at the top of that page. Once there, you’ll see right above the leaderboard you can edit your location. Tap on edit, and you can manually type in your city or let the app access your current location. Once you select it from the list, tap on change. This should do it in sha Allah. 
ws Raghda, thanks for your prompt response. I was able to change it on the leaderboard. However I was unsure how this gets reflected in terms of invites to local groups…e.g. in my feed I had an invitation to join x group (based on city name it detected). now I’ve changed city, would I get a new invite to the updated city group? I am not sure if I am explaining very well but I am referring to the local group thats created by kalaam rather than the leadership board of that city…

Wa iyyakum. Sister Raghda’s advice on changing your city in the leaderboards tab is correct for updating your location in our system. While this update makes you eligible for an invite to a Kalaam-created local group in your new city (if one exists and is active), these invitations may not be sent instantly. Please keep an eye on your feed for any new group invitations for your updated location.
