Salam Alaykum, may Allah SwT bless you all for your hard work and dedication towards such a noble cause.
My recommendation is to have a feature that allows users to mark words as unfamiliar/familiar within sections of the app, other than the Quran reader. For example, when clicking on different words within an ayat during the daily lessons.
This would be extremely helpful in keeping track of vocabulary, just like how the grammar rules within a specific word’s information section can be marked as familiar/unfamiliar.
Wa alaykum salam Nibraas, and welcome to the Kalaam Discussion community! Thank you for your feedback.
Great news - this feature already exists! Here’s how it works:
During daily lessons:
When you click the trash icon next to a word, you’re marking it as familiar
Any word that appears in your lessons is already unfamiliar by default - that’s why it’s showing up in your practice
So the system is already tracking your word familiarity across the app, including in daily lessons. The trash icon is exactly the feature you’re looking for to mark words as familiar during your lessons.
I hope this clarifies how the word tracking works! Let us know if you have any other questions.
JazakAllahu Khairan for your engagement with Kalaam!
