Answer feedback disappears with the next word

Hi,

I’ve really liked the function where I can write out my answers when reviewing or learning new words and then get feedback based on whether I was completely right, partially right or wrong. However, something with the lasted update messed this up for me. Now, when I’ve written an answer, the feedback shows up for only a short time and then disappears as soon as the next word comes up. Before, it stayed on the screen until I pushed it away, which gave me time to actually read it. Now it disappears before I can barely read anything.

I tried the voice function, but the same thing happened: the feedback went away when the next word appeared.

I’ve stopped writing out my answers because of this, and instead only flip the card to see the answer. Which is a pity, since writing out my answers and getting immediate feedback helped me learn and truly remember the words.

Salam Moa, welcome to the community, and thank you for such a clear report.

You’re right, and this is absolutely something we can fix. In the last update we did a fair amount of work on voice input detection, mainly making it more robust in noisy environments, and as part of that we merged some of the answer feedback handling. That’s why the feedback card now clears the moment the next word loads instead of waiting for you to dismiss it.

Your point stands: the feedback is only useful if it stays long enough to read. We’ll bring that behaviour back in the next update.
