I really want to turn that feature off,it messes up my reaction time and there are words in there that i know but i cant seem to mark them as familiar.
I agree with this also. The skipping during the challenges really messes concentration.
Yes, the option to guess or learn them, and to mark them as familiar as well.
The only reason the feature is in place (I think) is that so people can get verses from their prioritized surahs and do the challenge at any percentage of understanding. If it’s removed it will go back to giving random ayahs, strictly ones that only have words you know (and you’ll need 65% or more I think to do challenges)
Salam. We used to get verses we were familiar with before the update. I noticed the daily challenges focused aroind the words from the daily lesson. It reinforced what was learnt in the daily lesson, which was really beneficial
Yup, i noticed that too.
I’m above 65%, anyways i dont want feature removed, just a way to turn it off
Assalaamu Alaikum @Faiz @Ibby_E @Hamza_Ahmad @Shayaan
Will look into this in sha Allah. Jazak Allahu khair.
the system is designed to try and find the best verses that you haven’t yet translated with the fewest skips. if you do the challenge a lot, you’ll start to see more and more skips because all the good verses are already done. but if your vocab is high, this should take a long time. thinking about how to solve this. turning it off will de-moralize people. maybe we pause the time or skip faster.
One of the things I liked about the previous challenge system was that you would see the verses from the vocabulary you had just learned, so it directly reinforced the new vocabulary of the day
Agree wholeheartedly
I propose an idea: skips will actually give points
Each skip can give one point, that way people are still content even while the skipping is happening
How about allowing the people who have a certain amount of vocab to turn it off like giving a slider or something to switch it on and off and for the people who dont have that amount/percentage of vocab just make the slider or option grayed out and saying smth like --% required to turn off
Good idea though I feel like it’s a lot of work for the developer team because they have to add both of these challenges into the daily challenge
Ye it might be so lets just let them focus on the bugs and fixes first then ig they can look into this later and figure smth out as this isnt as important as the other stuff however till then getting a point for a skip is good or as brother areeb suggested that they pause the timer or increase the speed at which it skips
When I did the challenge, every single word was skipped except for one. So in 60 seconds, I got to choose only one word. I suggest simply pausing the timer during skips! It seems very obvious to me. Why would the timer keep running while word after word is being skipped?
We are adding this tonight.
